Annals of America.22 volumes. Chicago: Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc., 1976. REF E173 .A793 1976.A comprehensive, chronologically-arranged collection of the complete texts of historically significant documents on a broad range of subjects. Each volume has an index. The first 18 volumes contain an alphabetical index of the authors included with brief biographical sketches. Volumes 8-10 cover the pre-Civil War period through reconstruction.
Dictionary of American History. 8 volumes/2 volume supplement. Rev. ed. New York: Scribner, 1976-78. REF E174 .D5 1976. Eight-volume set comprised mainly of concise articles (some longer entries) dealing with all aspects of United States history. Many entries are followed by very brief bibliographic citations. The last volume is an index to the set.

Offers the complete text of significant documents from 1492 through reports of Congressional Committees investigating Iran-Contra, Nov. 13, 1987. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology.
Southern Home Front 1861 - 1865, The (http://docsouth.unc.edu/imls/) The Southern Homefront, 1861-1865," presents documents related to all aspects of Southern life during the Civil War. In particular, government and civilian publications demonstrate the Confederate States of America's unsuccessful attempt to create a viable nation state. This collection includes over four hundred Civil War era maps, broadsides, photographs, printed works, Confederate currency, and manuscript letters and diaries.
