Academic OneFile - The premier source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive.

O*Net - The Occupational Information Network replaces the Dictionary of Occupational Titles issued by the U. S. Department of Labor. It provides information on the skills, knowledge, preparation, and tasks associated with over 1100 occupations.

* You may access online databases from off-campus computers by entering your general computer account username and password (used for PSTCC e-mail). NOTE: Enter your username in this format example: s_jmdoe. It is not necessary to add "@pstcc.edu" for this application.


Journals and Magazines 
The following journals are available at the Pellissippi library in the Reference area. Many journals now have websites, providing the table of contents and access to selected articles in the current printed journal. Many include additional information and resources in certain subjects.

Enhanced Occupational Outlook Handbook. 5th ed. Indianopolis, IN.: JIST Works, 2005. REF HF 5382 .U6 E55 2005. Includes information about earnings, job growth, education, and required skills for many occupations. The content is taken from the Occupational Outlook Handbook, Occupational Information Network (O*Net), and the Dictionary of Occupational Titles.

Occupational Outlook Handbook. 2004-2005 edition. Bureau of Labor Statistics. U.S. Dept. of  Labor. REF HF 5382 .U525 2004-2005.  The Occupational Outlook Handbook provides information on working conditions, training and education, earnings, and job prospects for over 250 occupations.
